Hi, my name is Shawn
(she/her)
I am a recent graduate from Portland State University with a B.S. in Computer Science. I’ve had the opportunity to gain industry experience at a few different companies in the region where I’ve applied the skills I’ve learned in my degree to both frontend and backend systems. In my free time, I enjoy learning more about design and how it affects a range of areas from the products we use to the urban planning of our cities. The intersection between design and technology has always interested me and at the moment I am working on expanding my knowledge within the field of UX so that the software I make provides a positive experience. Projects
Vegify
Vegify is a platform to help restaurants accommodate vegan and vegetarian customers by supporting the addition of plant-based options on their menus. Through the Vegify platform restaurants would be able to upload a photo of their menu and based on preexisting menu items receive suggestions for new vegetarian and vegan menu options, and the ability to purchase the plant-based items needed directly from the Vegify platform.
Nutri
This is nutrition simplified. Nutri is a nutrient dashboard that isn't obsessed with the numbers. Log your food and track how much of your recommended daily intake of nutrients is filled by the number of emojis that are displayed on the dashboard. Try to get 5 emojis in each category every day!
